EMAC Executive Director speaks at the LEAD Filipino Policy Symposium

“It’s not shameful to ask for help. It’s not shameful to say I’m not in the right headspace right now. It’s not shameful to stand up for what you believe in. It’s not a shame to be the loudest Filipino in the room” -Nikki Chan, Executive Director, Empowering Marginalized Asian Communities.

We're grateful to be a part of and to speak at the LEAD Filipino Policy Symposium on Saturday, March 4th. It was a blessing to have been in community with other great Filipino organizations and leaders - Pilipino American LA Democrats, National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA), Bulosan Center, Amado Khava Foundation, and Filipino Advocates for Justice!

You can catch the rest of the symposium on LEAD Filipino's Facebook or Linkedin pages.
