This past year, EMAC proudly hosted our Volunteer and Base Building programming, where members deepened their skills and leadership to strengthen our community. Participants engaged in a series of trainings designed to build knowledge, confidence, and organizing power.
Members explored critical topics such as the school-to-prison-to-deportation pipeline, learned their rights when encountering ICE through a training adapted from the Valley Watch Network, participated in EMAC’s Lotus Circle Fundraising Training, and developed their voices through our journalism and storytelling workshop. These sessions equipped members with tools to protect our communities, share our stories, and sustain our movement for the long haul.
We are thrilled to share that all participants successfully completed the program and will now take their skills into EMAC’s base building committees, helping to grow and strengthen our collective power. We celebrate their hard work, their commitment, and the leadership they bring to the EMAC family.
Welcome to the next chapter of your leadership journey — we are so proud to have you with us!
