It's bittersweet for us to celebrate this year's cohort of our 209 API Homies Circle graduation while still grieving the loss of Piterson Oum, one of this year's graduates who shared his testimony at the graduation, speaking on his transformation and hope for his future.

We celebrate the resilience, drive, and possibilities of this year's graduates and also honor the positive legacy Piterson leaves behind with our Homies Circle and the larger EMAC community.

May Piterson's legacy remind us of the urgency of our work and may we continue to serve our system-impacted community to support their positive transformation. 💙🙏🏽🌊

In loving memory of Piterson Oum, a cherished graduate of this year’s 209 Homies Circle family who left us too soon due to tragic circumstances. Piterson was an extraordinary person who overcame extraordinary circumstances. He provided guidance and mentorship to the young men of our Homies Circle and his dedication to growth and change was apparent in his involvement with the group. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. EMAC will forever remember and honor his contributions, and we pledge to keep his memory alive in all that we do. 💙🌊🙏🏽🕊️
